Many reports and studies on the Egyptian labor market confirm that one of the most important challenges facing Egyptian workers is the low indicators of the level of work culture and ethics adopted by the Egyptian worker compared to workers in other countries such as Southeast Asian countries, which subsequently affects the decrease in demand for Egyptian workers in the country. The current period within the local and Arab markets. Which can be summarized in the following problems:

 – Lack of self-awareness of abilities and capabilities and how to employ them in the correct way.

 – Lack of professional awareness of the nature of job opportunities available in the labor market.

 – Youth are not interested in working, especially in the field of professional employment.

–  A lower outlook on some professions than on others.

–  Rapid turnover of young people in jobs.

 – Poor worker productivity.

 

As a result of this problem and the effects it has that extend to weakening the productive capacity of the Egyptian worker and thus the competitive capabilities, it was deemed important to those in charge of the institution to work on spreading the culture of work among groups of young people, especially those who are about to enter the labor market, and this axis is considered the main direction of the institution since 2012. So far, a few different development interventions have been implemented during the past period to achieve this trend, and these interventions are:

–  Qualifying training for the labor market and self-acquaintance.

 – One-day seminars on topics related to preparation for the labor market and entrepreneurship.

–  One-day meetings between young people and businessmen.

 – Cultural Salon “Intalk” to support work culture, values and principles.”

–  Art competitions (via) to present young people’s vision for work.

–  A program for transitioning from school to the labor market and disseminating work culture, values and ethics in cooperation with the German Development Agency and Save the Children.

 – Participate in organizing career forums in cooperation with multiple parties.

 – Programs and activities to qualify young graduates for the labor market in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate.

 – Enlighten and Go program to spread work culture and values.

 – Secretarial and office management in civil society organizations.

 – Initiatives and activities for student models in Helwan University City.

 – Start your project initiative.
